About JeanetteJeanette grew up on the central coast of California. She lived in Capitola, in the Monterey Bay area through high school, then went to college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She spent her first few years in the broadcasting business there, working for a local radio station and KSBY-TV (NBC).
She made her move to the midwest when she took a job at KCCI-TV (CBS) in Des Moines, Iowa and covered everything from tornados to the state fair and the presidential caucuses. When Jeanette was an anchor for KCCI-TV the station was honored with a national Edward R Murrow award for overall excellence. She also hosted Better Homes and Gardens nationally syndicated show focusing on travel, food, landscaping and design.
In March of 2005 she ventured north to the Twin Cities to take a job at WCCO-TV. She worked there for four years, until this past March when the bad economy caught up with her too and she was laid off. She's been honored with awards from the Associated Press, the Iowa and Minnesota Broadcasting Associations and received regional Emmy awards for her reporting and anchoring as well as two regional Edward R Murrow awards for her reporting.

Jeanette is still living in Minneapolis with her dog Madelyn and trying to mix in as much summertime fun as possible during this downtime. She's throwing the net out wide in her search for employment and doing some soul searching about where she'd like to end up. Like many Americans, she's trying to figure out "what's next" and trying to balance the anxiety of that uncertainty, with the thrill of the endless possibilities.
